Tradition in Mosaic Art

In 1947, as Horacio Pellicciotti was setting up his glass workshop, artists of the Brazilian Modernist movement were turning to mosaic murals as a medium for their art. In no time, Vidrotil mosaicists were rendering art works commissioned by acclaimed Brazilian artists and landscape designers such as Roberto Burle-Marx, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti and Cândido Portinari.

Throughout these 60 years, Vidrotil has kept the tradition of translating different works of art into the language of mosaics. In more recent times, contemporary artists such as Tomie Ohtake, Claudio Tozzi, and Romero Britto have trusted Vidrotil in transforming their original designs into mosaic murals.

If you are an artist wishing to see your inspiration come to life in mosaic form or a designer looking to add an artistic flair to your creation, let Vidrotil be your mosaicist of choice.
