For his 65th birthday, the president of a food processing company received a watercolor as a gift, which he thought he would share with the community that for decades had been supporting his business. He then commissioned Vidrotil to transform the 8 x 6 in painting into a mosaic mural that would partially cover the side façade of his company's dockside headquarters.The end result is a 49 x 40 ft mosaic mural made up of more than 500,000 glass mosaic tesserae that has become a town landmark.
